Rapid Prototyping UK: common questions
How quickly can I get a prototype?
Standard prototypes take 7–10 working days. If it is urgent, express is 3–5 working days for one-off parts, at a 50% surcharge (minimum £15).
Can you revise the design and print again?
Yes. After testing, the CAD design can be revised where agreed and another prototype made, or the part can move on to a production run.
Which material should I use for a prototype?
PLA suits visual models. PETG and ABS offer more strength and heat resistance, PA6 and PA12 nylons are tough and wear resistant, and PA6-CF is the stiffest. The Materials Guide has more detail.
